Elle Diabloe’s Fantasy Forest

I’m always grateful when my clients come back to work on new photoshoot concepts over the years. I’ve known Elle Diabloe for what seems like forever. She was one of the first models I worked with back when I started photography school over 17 years ago. She also was one of the first people who introduced me to the world of burlesque and we’ve worked on many projects ever since. When Elle came to me again to create both art and promotional art pieces for her burlesque persona, I was so excited! Her concept for this photoshoot was Victorian Witch (with a pet crow) meets ‘60s goth babe vibes.

Doing a smoke-bomb photoshoot can be intimidating but the smoke did not phase her at all. Working with smoke-bombs can be challenging but the rewards are more than worth it. The results can be one of a kind art pieces that capture a level of mystery while also making you feel completely free. Elle is a true performer and was so easy to photograph in all the wardrobe changes. Her way with the feather fans while the smoke bombs were going off, was absolutely magical, you would never expect that the temperature was dropping to near zero. I always say the team work makes the dream work and Isastrawberry did an incredible job with her make-up and Ruby Valentine a fabulous job on hair. I’m so happy with the results of the shoot and can’t wait to work with this fabulous team again soon.

xx Andrea
