You’ve seen Ruby’s work in so many of our vintage and boudoir shoots—and her hands have worked magic on dozens of clients in our Montreal studio. But she’s not just our go-to hair and makeup artist—she’s a force of beauty and empowerment in her own right.
Ruby has been passionate about hair and makeup since early childhood. In 2016, she started her career as a color consultant at Sephora Moncton, where she trained as a professional makeup artist. A self-taught hairstyling queen, she’s refined her signature vintage-meets-modern styling over the last 7 years with endless practice, tutorials, and creativity.
In 2019, Ruby made the bold move from Moncton, NB to Montreal, leaving retail behind to launch her freelance hair and makeup business. Since then, she’s been living her dream—empowering women through beauty transformations, both in-studio and on location.
She’s also the host of her new YouTube podcast, Digital Muse with Ruby Valentine, where she dives deep into self-improvement, women empowerment, and the truth about being a beauty content creator in today’s social media world.
